Friends of Donelson is an inclusive coalition of Donelson organizations, businesses, and neighbors working together to coordinate and promote unified community events and support.
In 2024 we officially formed our nonprofit to oversee a long-running, beloved holiday tradition and make it an even bigger annual gathering. Two years later, not only is the holiday celebration larger and more vibrant, but artful, musical Donelson is growing in every way. We are ready to add another event to benefit our community---a big one. In 2026 we are joyfully introducing Knoblin Fest, a music and arts festival planned for October 3. The Knoblin is an imaginative character from a charming tale of local lore involving Todd's Knob, the hill behind Donelson Plaza. Our goal with Knoblin Fest is to produce an inclusive event that fosters kindness, sharing, inspiration, and most importantly silliness.
Knoblin Fest is designed to shine a light on the creative side of our dear community with music, art, vendors, and activities for everyone age 1 to 101.
Thank you all for the immediate and positive response to the launch of Knoblin Fest---with a volunteer crew of over 70 creative minds (so far!), we are planning a festival like no other and you are invited to join us as we draw out talent and supporters from our own neighborhoods.
